Welcome to an In-Home Summer Watercolor Camp Inspired by the Charlotte Mason Method!
In this unique summer camp experience, children will learn foundational art and watercolor techniques while immersing themselves in the beauty of literature, nature, and creativity. Rooted in the gentle philosophy of Charlotte Mason, this camp blends art instruction with living books, seasonal poetry, nature study, and the cherished ritual of tea time.
Charlotte Mason once said, “We are all meant to be naturalists.” With that spirit in mind, I aim to nurture a sense of wonder and observation in each child—encouraging them to see the world through both the eyes of an artist and a naturalist. As we read from a classic living books and seasonal poetry, we’ll draw inspiration from the natural imagery in the texts. Through guided lessons, I’ll teach watercolor techniques that will help bring those scenes to life on paper—deepening their connection to what they’ve read and observed.
We’ll also take our journals outdoors, using a variety of art tools to capture real-world discoveries and practice both artistic and observational skills.
To conclude our time together, we’ll celebrate with a beloved tradition: Poetry Tea Time. As I read poetry aloud, the children will enjoy painting with “tea-time” friendly mediums in a calm, creative setting. It’s often the highlight of the camp—an experience filled with joy, beauty, and memories that last long beyond summer.

A lot of work goes into preparing each class for every student, so while it’s not possible to refund, you are able to transfer your paid spot to another student if you are unable to attend after all.
If I have to cancel class due to illness or any emergency, I will reschedule for another date at least 2 weeks in advance.
